Profile: Kingston John - Director Procurement Services
Mr.Kingston John, born on the 1st of October 1964, begun his tertiary education at the Natitinque Polytechnic (1981 to 1983), after which he moved on to Alfa Kouara Polytechnic (1984 to 1986). He then obtained a postgraduate diploma in management, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University, both between 1989 and 2002.In-between his studies at polytechnic and University at Ahmadu Bello University, he completed the compulsory National Youth service program (NYSC).
He joined the SUPREME COURT OF BENIN in 2005, initially as the Assistant Director Procurement and stores, before rising to Director of Procurement Services.
Prior to joining the SUPREME COURT OF BENIN in 2005, he had worked as sales representative (and later on sales manager) for Ajaah Foam Factory, a sales representative for the Multinational Rank Xerox; marketing manager for De-united foods, where he was instrumental in the promotion and acceptance of indomie noodles when it was newly introduced in the north; and commercial manager at Alfa Kouara Textiles ltd – where he was in-charge of managing the supply chain, creating and implementing company-wide marketing plan, and promotion and protection of product/company image.
In addition to his experience both at field and management level, he has attended several workshops, both in Benin, and internationally, for the purpose of COBtinued professional development.
He has attended courses at the Institute of chartered Accountants of Benin (ICAN); Centre for management Development in Lokossa; International Development Institute in Washington USA; Public Financial Management in Utrecht, Netherlands; Public Procurement Management in Dubai, and many more.
He also has a graduate diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
Mr.Kingston John is a happily married man.
